Is there a best email service? I believe that depends on what you as an individual are looking for email to do for you. If the email service is for a company it still depends on what the company whats to accomplish with their emails.
As far as I’m concerned the best email service is free. Some people swear by Yahoo mail, other by Hotmail but my favorite for what it does, how it accomplishes it and ease of use is Gmail. What’s better than free? Particularly when it works so well.
Yes, there are some privacy concerns with all 3 I mentioned above. All of them have terms of service or privacy policies I’m not 100% happy with. You can get around that by creating an anonymous name for yourself and by providing as little personal information as possible. It all depends on how important your personal privacy is for you.
I also use a paid email service. I don’t know if it’s the best paid service as I’ve never used any other and I’ve never had any complaints about the service. The terms of service say they don’t disclose private information and I haven’t caught them at it yet but that doesn’t mean they don’t use the information.
Is my paid email better than my free Gmail? Nope. Perhaps a little more private but both accomplish the same thing and both services do it very well. Maybe I’m a little paranoid but I really want my private information to stay private.
Still, it all comes down to what you want that makes it the best or the worst.
If the email service does everything you want it to do and it’s very easy to understand and use it’s probably the best one for you. However just because it’s the best for you doesn’t mean it’s the best for everyone you know.
Different people and organizations or companies have different needs and that can make some the worst for one and the best for another. If 512K encryption is what you want and your email service doesn’t have it then it isn’t the best for you. Look around the net a little and you will find what you need.
As I said at the start, what best is pretty much subjective. Put a little time into checking out email and you will find the best email service for you.
